All Hands on Tech

The professional organization Signs, Environments, Graphics, Design (SEGD) highlights projects and new technolgies through its international publication, segdDesign. In its November 30, 2010 issue, the article ”All Hands on Tech” featured the Oasis of the Seas project and the intricacies and labor that our team performed in order to make this ship technologically interactive and user friendly for its guests through our wayfinding systems.

List It Flat.com

I am currently working on brand development and website design project for List It Flat. This start-up company is focusing on a new trend in real estate, providing select services at a set fee. They are operating out of Columbus, Ohio.

 

United Federation of Teachers (UFT)

Currently, I am working with Levin/Silbert on a museum-style tribute and historical commemoration project on Albert Shanker, who was one of the key founders and organizers of the United Federation of Teachers (UFT). The exhibit will be located at UFT’s headquarters in New York City. The exhibit will highlight Albert Shanker’s life and his involvement with UFT and the key events that helped shape the union into what is today.

 

Miami Ad School (MAS) “Industry Hero”

In May 2010 I was invited as a guest lecturer and instructor at the Miami Ad School in Miami Beach, Florida. As an “Industry Hero” lecturer, I had the opportunity to present my current work to entire student body. As guest instructor, I led a group of art directors and copywriters who I worked with for one week on an advertising project.

This winter I designed a logo for a blogger who travels and writes about beer and beer festivals. This blog was created by a single author who’s topics focus about the experiences and the emotions drawn from the events.

City of Parma (Ohio ) Unveils New Logo

Monday, February 22, 2010 During the City of Parma State of the City address Mayor Dean DePiero unveiled the new city logo. Parma is located just south of Cleveland, Ohio and is home to a diverse ethnic population.

During the fall of 2009, I participated in a logo competition to design a new logo for the city. The city was looking to update its current logo that had been in place since the 1960s. My design direction was based on the city's assets which include, affordable housing, small business, industry, a wide religious base and great greenspace.
